FRIENDSWOOD JUNIOR HIGH THEATER

1000 MANISON PKWY, FRIENDSWOOD, TX

Theater doors will open once the previous recital has exited, about 20 minutes prior to each performance. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE THEATER UNTIL THE DOORS HAVE BEEN OPENED. We ask that you be polite and courteous to other audience members when going to and from your reserved seats.

DROP OFF & PICK UP

PARKING: The parking lot is on Manison Parkway on the right side of the school.

STUDENT DROP OFF: Drop off your dancer at the red carpet no later than 30 minues prior to the recital start time. You may then enter the main doors to pickup your Recital Gifts and line up to enter the theater.

BACKSTAGE: Please do not bring food or water backstage. Only staff and volunteers with a lanyard may be backstage for safety purposes. Class moms and Chara staff will be there to supervise dancers.

TICKETING & RECITAL GIFTS: Tables will be set up inside for day of ticket sales and to pick up pre-ordered recital gifts or purchase them day of based on availability.

STUDENT PICK UP: At the conclussion of the show, dancers will all come onstage for a final bow. Ms. Shanna will then make announcments to gradually dismiss students by age from the stage. Everyone will be askedd to exit the theater through the side doors proptly to accomodate clean up and set-up for the following recital.

THEATER ETIQUETTE

Courtesy is contagious. If adults practice courtesy, children will learn from their example.
While applause is appreciated and encouraged, yelling names, and other calls to the dancers is inappropriate.
NO flash photography will be allowed during the concert.
Do not videotape the performance as this blocks the view of audience members. Everyone will receive a professional recording of their recital.
Please sit still and keep your feet off the chairs in front of you at all times.
As per fire regulations no one may sit or stand in the aisles. Nor may children run around at the front of the auditorium.
All electronic devices must be turned off or silenced.
‘Silence is Golden’ talking during a performance is very distracting to people around you, please refrain.
Babies and young children are very welcome to attend recital, but if they are fussy or crying we ask that you please remove them from the - auditorium.
Audience members may enter and exit the auditorium between performances ONLY - not during. Opening and closing of auditorium doors during dances is disruptive to all.
No food or drink inside the auditorium.
If you did not purchase a ticket for your child under the age of 5, please do not place them in a seat. All seats are reserved.
