PARENT OBSERVATION WEEK

MAY 18th - 23rd

In Studio | During the last week of classes

All dance classes will rehearse for recital and participate in a "Studio Showcase" the last week of classes at the studio. Parents are encouraged to JOIN US IN THE CLASSROOM this week.

Run through their full recital dance
Discuss stage setup & attire
Review recital preparations such as Finale, entering/exiting the stage, close the curtains, practice lights on/off.

REHEARSAL ATTIRE: Dancers should wear their weekly dress code to class this week. NO need to wear their costume or makeup for rehearsal since we will practice this during Recital Picture week.

Graded Level Dancers are required to attend

GRADED LEVEL DRESS REHEARSAL

MAY 26th AND 27th | 5:00 - 9:30pm

Friendswood Junior High

Graded Level Dancers will have a full Dress Rehearsal run through at Friendswood Junior High Theater. Chara Companies will rehearse in studio during their weekly rehearsal time.

REHEARSAL: Dress Rehearsal days will be broken up into 2 groups. Group 1 dancers should arrive at 4:45pm regardless of the order in which they are performing and Group 2 dancers should arrive at 6:45pm for their dances. We will run through the dances in back-to-back increments starting at the top of the Rehearsal Lineup and working our way down.

DANCER DROP OFF: Drop off your dancer at the side entrance just like they will at recital. They will be brought to their dressing room with their costumes and belongings. Only staff and parent volunteers are allowed backstage and in the dressing rooms. Dancers should be dressed in their first costume that they will practice during rehearsal. Parents are invited to wait and watch in the auditorium during Dress Rehearsal. After your dancer has run through their last dance they are welcome to leave.

DANCER PICK UP: Dancers may leave after they have performed their final dance on stage. Parents should plan ahead whether they and their dancer want to stay through the end of the rehearsal or leave early. If leaving early, dancers can be picked up at check out in the lobby with one of our staff members. Students will not be released without a parent present.

REHEARSAL ATTIRE: Graded Level Dancers should be "recital ready" in full hair, makeup and costume to practice their dance(s). No costumes are allowed in the auditorium (glitter etc) so dancers are not allowed to remain and watch rehearsal after they have completed their dances.

DRESS REHEARSAL VOLUNTEERS: Group 1 Volunteers should arrive at 4:40pm and Group 2 Volunteers should arrive at 7:10pm and report to the dressing rooms for assignments and to begin receiving dancers.
